The
mission of the Financial Aid Office is to inform and
assist the student regarding the available options
for assistance with the financial obligations
associated with their post-secondary education. By
definition financial aid is money supplied by a
source other than the family to assist with the
costs of a student’s education.
If you do not plan to make payment in full for
tuition and fees at the time of registration, you
will need to complete the Financial Aid Application. |

To determine your eligibility for federal grants and student
loans you must complete a
FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the
appropriate year with the Dept of Education. If
additional information is required you will be
notified by the Amridge University Financial Aid
Office. |

This application must be completed online by any student who
does not plan to make full payment for tuition and fees at

Free Application for Federal Student Aid
FAFSA |
This federal form must be completed on
the web at
www. FAFSA.ed.gov
by any student who plans to apply for a
Pell Grant, Federal Stafford Student
Loans, Federal Work-Study, or our
University Need-Based Scholarship.
Amridge University should be listed as a
school to receive an Institutional
Student Information Report, ISIR, from
the Department of Education. School Code
is
016885. The Financial Aid
Office must have a current year eligible
ISIR on file.
It will be necessary to have a PIN
(Personal Identification Number) from
the Dept of Education to e-sign the
FAFSA. If you do not have a PIN or have
forgotten your PIN, click on the apply
button.

FAFSA for 07-08 needed for Fall
2007, Spring 08 and/or Summer 08 |
If you
completed a federal tax return for 2006
you will need a copy and your W2’s to
answer the questions on this form. If
you completed a FAFSA last year
(2006-2007), you can complete a Renewal
FAFSA for 2007-2008. If you have
completed a FAFSA for 2007-2008 but did
not list us as a school to receive your
record, go back to the FAFSA website and
add the Amridge University school code,
016885.

Financial Aid
Awards |
|
Once
the Financial Aid Application and the report
from the information submitted on the FAFSA are
received, an email will be sent with a link to
your Amridge University Initial Financial Aid
Award Letter. The Initial Financial Aid Award
will include Pell Grant and/or Supplemental
Education Opportunity Grant (if eligible) and
the maximum amount of Federal Stafford Student
Loan money for which the student qualifies.
Please click the submit
button at the bottom of the award
page after accepting, declining or reducing the
specific awards offered. You'll find more
information on the awards and the specific
eligibility requirements by clicking on the name
of each award. Request for award changes after
your initial submission must be made by email to
financialaid@amridgeuniversity.edu .
Any
additional documentation required will be noted
on your Initial Financial Aid Award Letter. If
corrections are necessary a Revised Financial
Aid Award Letter will be emailed. |

Exit Loan Counseling |
|
|
|
If you used Federal Stafford Student
Loans for payment of educational expenses, you are required to complete
Exit Loan Counseling when you are no longer a student at Amridge
University on at least
a half-time basis. It will take about 10-15 minutes and includes
excellent information on repayment options.
